Tony has earned master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska (journalism) and UCLA (screenwriting) and won honors for his work as a sportswriter, investigative journalist and screenwriter, including a prestigious Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award.

A dedicated and experienced educator and tutor with an award-winning pedigree, Tony Moton became immersed in writing and the power of knowledge at an early age. Tony started working as a math tutor when he was 15 and had his first story published in a daily newspaper at the age of 17 in his native Chicago. Since then, he has become a respected journalist and screenwriter who shares his wisdom with students in a variety of scholastic arenas.
Tony has been an educator on the high school and college levels in traditional settings. He has served as an academic writing coach at middle, junior and senior high schools. His work includes private and public service as a lecturer in creative writing, English, screenwriting,
